Study Tip: Handwrite your notes

While handwriting study notes can be an obvious hack, most people do not take the time to do this.

Following are a few benefits of handwriting your notes for a study review.

# 1: Increases focus by being engaged

# 2: Allows creativity by forming a review using color coding, fonts, paper, etc. to preference

# 3: Maximizes efficiency by organizing information on one sheet. I usually divided my review into these subheadings - general, patho, S/S, Diagnostics, Diff Dx, and Tx.

# 4: Boosts memory & comprehension by forcing our mind to retain information longer while our hand catches up with our brain. Yes, there is a science behind the reason we cannot write as fast as we are thinking – put it to good use.
